Over the Halloween weekend Neimënster is hosting two open days, offering guests a thrilling weekend filled with shows, exhibitions, conferences, concerts, youth events and artist residencies. There’s a magician, a workshop on how to make scary sound effects, pumpkin decoration, makeup and more - a great weekend out with kids or as adults only!

Ciao amanti del cinema italiano! The Italian Film Festival of Villerupt is back for the next two weeks, and the southern cities of Esch and Dudelange are also partners. 76 films are included in this year’s programme, spread across seven cinemas and 17 days, so plenty to discover. We couldn’t find any information on subtitles, but this editor would be very surprised if there aren’t any in at least French or English.

The Panafro book club in Luxembourg was set up to encourage people from the African, Caribbean and Afro-American community to discuss monthly literature from African descent. Luxembourg being a melting-pot, the club is open to all languages and all cultures. This week’s gathering takes place at Les Copains d’abord. This editor remembers the school trip he did to Hollenfels once as part of the biology curriculum - testing the water’s PH levels and digging up limestone...feels like another lifetime already. But it was a beautiful area, that’s for sure. Enjoy the autumn colours on this short but hilly circular walk around Hollenfels!

Leading musicians, singers and artists present Queen’s greatest hits in a two-hour show, with songs from their debut to their last hits. From disco classics to rock ballads. Including costumes and dance moves!

Acclaimed US jazz pianist Fred Hersch is teaming up with trumpet player Avishai Cohen for a unique jazz duet at the Philharmonie (Enrico Rava, who was scheduled to play, had to cancel the gig for medical reasons). This will be a dynamic show for all jazz lovers alike!
