Léa Linster, the celebrated former Michelin-starred chef, was presented with the Federal Cross of Merit during a ceremony at the German Embassy in Luxembourg on Tuesday. German Ambassador Dr Heike Peitsch paid tribute to Linster's distinguished career, emphasising that her influence extends far beyond the kitchen and underlining her longstanding role as one of Luxembourg’s most prominent culinary ambassadors.

Linster made history in 1989 as the first woman to win the prestigious Bocuse d'Or. Today, her son Louis has taken over the family restaurant in Frisange, which boasts two Michelin stars.
