This delightfully sweet treat will make any evening better!

Ingredients

  • 200 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 200 g light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 100 g salted caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C  and grease a 20x20 cm square baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Place the sliced apples on top of the batter in a single layer, slightly pressing them in.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  9. Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan.
  10. Drizzle the salted caramel sauce on top of the cooled blondies and cut them into squares.
