
This delightfully sweet treat will make any evening better!
Ingredients
- 200 g unsalted butter, melted
- 200 g light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 100 g salted caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a 20x20 cm square baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Place the sliced apples on top of the batter in a single layer, slightly pressing them in.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
- Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan.
- Drizzle the salted caramel sauce on top of the cooled blondies and cut them into squares.
