The renowned wine region was one of the most severely flooded areas of Germany.

Far too many people lost their lives during the floods, and an even greater number lost their livelihoods when the natural disaster hit the Ahrweiler region.

For local winemakers, the extreme rainfall was also devastating, as most of their harvest and stocks were destroyed by the water masses.

An attempt is now being launched to help make the most out of the few things that could be recovered from the flooded areas. The wine, for instance, will be renamed as "flood wine" and "Our worst generation". All money raised from the sale of these wines will then go to the winemakers and gastronomers of the Ahrweiler region.

All bottles have been left in the exact same state that they were found. Every bottle is unique and the entire stock only holds 1,000 bottles.
