Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Mechatronics Engineer to drive the development of automated vacuum deposition systems. The ideal candidate will design innovative solutions that combine mechanical, electrical, and control systems to scale up vacuum deposition technology and address performance, reliability, traceability, and safety parameters.

• Design, model, and optimize integrated mechatronic components for vacuum equipment.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical and process engineers to seamlessly integrate mechanical designs with control and monitoring systems.
• Perform comprehensive analyses—control system simulations—to verify equipment performance and durability under relevant environments.
• Develop detailed technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions for manufacturing and system integration.
• Select and specify materials, sensors, actuators, and control components to ensure compatibility with processing environments.
• Lead subsystems through acquisition, prototyping, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of mechatronic systems.
• Document system parameters, test outcomes, and design modifications throughout the development process.
• Remain up to date with advancements in mechatronics, automation, sensors, and materials relevant to vacuum deposition systems.


Required Skills:

• Candidates should have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechatronics engineering or a related field.
• Ability to design electromechanical systems, with advanced proficiency in CAD software.
• Strong understanding of control systems engineering, including PID tuning and sensor integration for automated processes.
• Expertise in motion control, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical circuit design and system diagnostics.
• Proficiency in developing user interfaces and control dashboards for automated systems using LabVIEW or other industry-standard tools such as Python and MATLAB, enabling real-time monitoring, data acquisition, and system control.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols for seamless integration between subsystems.
• Experience in programming PLCs and embedded controllers for real-time automation.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data from sensors and instrumentation to optimize system performance.
• Experience designing and implementing automation-based concepts to enhance system reliability, traceability, and safety, ensuring robust performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in troubleshooting system faults and optimizing solutions.
• Project management experience, including coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing timelines for system deployment.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and best practices for equipment design and operation.
• Excellent analytical skills for evaluating system performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Effective communication skills for presenting technical information to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
