Walk & Talk

Looking for an opportunity to meet people, improve your languages and get some exercise while the children are at school?

The Institut National des Langues (INLL) is inviting participants to join its Walk & Talk sessions – friendly walks designed to encourage conversation and language practice in a relaxed setting.

Supervised by INLL teachers, the events combine fresh air, informal dialogue, and an opportunity to improve foreign language skills.

Workshop: The mushroom (6–10 years old)

Children aged 6 to 10 are invited to explore the fascinating world of fungi in this hands-on outdoor workshop. Participants will head into the forest in search of mushrooms, learn about their habitats, and later cook the fruits of their foraging over a campfire to enjoy together.

PEKiP

PEKiP (Prague Parent-Child Program) is an educational concept for mothers and fathers with babies during their first year. Starting from the eighth week until the first birthday, parents can attend weekly 90-minute sessions in small, consistent groups led by a trained PEKiP group leader. The warm room allows babies to move freely without clothes, encouraging physical, cognitive, linguistic and social development through play and repetition.

Mindfulness for parents

This three-part course helps parents cultivate awareness, emotional balance, and joy in everyday family life.

Through guided reflection, discussion, and practical exercises, participants learn to manage challenges with greater calm and connection, strengthening relationships with their children. The course is held in German and includes materials for at-home practice.

Kids’ show at Neumünster Abbey

The traditional Kids’ Show screening at Neimënster invites children from the age of 2 and their parents to an afternoon of animated heroes from Central and Eastern Europe. The films have no spoken language, making them accessible to all nationalities. The screening (about 70 minutes in total) is split into two parts by a break with cakes, coffee and other refreshments.

Family workshop at Villa Vauban

Villa Vauban opens its creative workshop space to families! Children and parents are invited to explore a world of colours, materials, and playful techniques. Guided by the museum’s mediators, participants can paint, glue, or model freely — anything is possible as a family. The session is multilingual and open for drop-in participation throughout the afternoon.
