What a month this is! There are so many nice events for families with children – here is our selection for unforgettable memories: 

1. Kids Day at Mudam's 20th anniversary

Date: 4 July 2026
Free access 

For Kids Day, Mudam opens its doors to a full day of playful encounters, creative workshops, and guided experiences designed for young visitors and families.

From hands-on activities and drop-in formats to tours led by children and performances imagining the museum of the future, the programme invites everyone to explore art through making, storytelling, and shared imagination. More details here.

2. Family Day at Rotondes

Date: 26 July 2026, from 5pm until 9pm
Registration required

An event specially designed for families with children with workshops, music, DIY corner in a way that only Rotondes knows how to do. More details here.

3. Kite flying family event at Aquatower Berdorf

Date: 12 July 2026, from 10am until 1pm

A big space, a water playground, lots of fun with a creative corner for the children, and more! This is the 3rd edition and it is going to be amazing! Don't you just love watching all the kites flying? More details here.

4. Belval Celebration / Blast Furnace Festival

Date: 4 July 2026

The 11th annual celebration is themed around Japan, featuring traditional arts, workshops, performances, and a grand pyrotechnic fire show. 

In particular, you can expect cultural workshops (calligraphy, origami, tea ceremonies, and manga drawing), artistic performances including DJ sets and live music, a 50-meter-high zip line, a blast furnace tour all the way to the viewing platform, and a Hanami show blending aerial dance, circus arts, fire performances, and pyrotechnics. 5. The Night of Wonders in Bettembourg

Dates: 10–11 July 2026
Registration required

The highly anticipated yearly event, loved by many families, returns on 10 and 11 July with spectacular shows and artists in a beautiful setting! More details here.

6. Guided stargazing and more by Nightwise

These events are scheduled in July by Nightwise.lu who offers participants an exceptional experience around the theme of astronomy, night skies, stargazing, and more.

The events are accessible for all and guided with care, ideal for people who want to delve into astronomy without needing prior knowledge. More details here.

7. Bubbles Science Workshop Panda Club

Dates: 7–9 July 2026
€5 entry fee; registration required

In this workshop, the children will enter the crazy world of soap bubbles! They will make all kinds of soap bubbles: big, small, round, heavy, light, square... WHAT?! ... HEAVY, LIGHT, SQUARE? How is that possible? More details here.

8. Kockeldiko Nature Festival

Date: 5 July 2026, from 10am to 6pm

A day full of activites for young and old with over 52 activities offered, one of them being climbing a tree. More details here.

9. Musical experience inside the Musée de l'Ardoise

Date: 5 July 2026
€20 entry fee

Following a route through the museum grounds and the impressive Johanna underground mine, located 42 metres below the surface, visitors will move from one location to another, discovering a series of musical performances in a truly unique setting.

Between sky and stone, light and darkness, industrial heritage and artistic expression, the voices of the Ensemble Vocal du Luxembourg will resonate through the underground galleries as well as on the surface, creating a remarkable immersive experience.

The exceptional acoustics of the galleries will enhance the beauty of the vocal performances. Additional musical moments on the surface will further enrich this artistic and heritage experience.
