Boo! October brings us Halloween and the local Luxembourgish tradition of Trauliicht, so here's a spooktacular list of events to enjoy with the family.
It is an exciting month for fun events in Luxembourg – so much so, that we will have to do this in multiple installments! Here is part one of our Halloweenmania special, where we bring you ten event suggestions for a fun spooky season.
1. Family Halloween Party at NYX Food & Wine Experience by TravelmatKanner

Dress up, or simply join in on the fun at this Halloween party for families. There will be a disco, decoration of Halloween cookies for children, a chance to win a prize at a costume contest, face painting, Halloween decorations and a delicious all-you-can-eat buffet.

2. Aqua NAT’OUR Halloween Pool Party

A Halloween party at a swimming pool? Yes, it is possible at Aqua NAT’OUR with games, contests, and a cinema pool party starting at 6pm.

3. Om Bechel: all about the pumpkin

At the Educational Farm Om Bechel, the whole family can enjoy pumpkin carving. Afterwards, taste some pumpkin soup!

4. Spooky Kulturhuef Grevenmacher

Two different types of experiences are organised at the Kulturhuef in Grevenmacher:
Halloween Guided Tours of the Museum by Torchlight
Dates: 30 and 31 October from 6.30–7.30pm.
Explore the museum in the company of Johannes Gutenberg's fiancée. Come dressed up for extra fun.
LEGO Printing Workshops
Dates: 29, 30, and 31 October from 2–4pm.
Mixing art and legos is always a good idea. Create spiders, ghosts or pumpkins, and print your spooky images with Lego bricks at Kulturhuef.
5. Halloween Co-Labor GAIA Bertrange
Thursday, 31 October 2024 – 1.30pm.

Gaia at Co-Labor is a lovely educational space and offers two special workshops: one for ages 8–12 with a Halloween cooking theme and another for ages 4–7 with a Halloween natural art theme.

6. Trick or Treat: Creative workshops for toddlers and kids

7. Halloween am Vitarium by Luxlait

A full programme is awaiting children: apart from the visit to the factory, there will be cooking workshops, a pumpkin decorating activity, games, and loads of other fun activities.

8. Halloween party by Luxembourg Allergy Network

A Halloweeny (and allergy-free) afternoon for the whole family with a circus workshop, arts and crafts, glitter tattoos, and lots of games.

9. Trauliichtwochen at the Robbesscheier
19 October to 3 November

From 19 October to 3 November, Robbesscheier invites everyone to participate in the Luxembourgish tradition of Trauliicht, where beetroots are carved and transformed into creepy faces – instead of pumpkins.
It is possible to book an overnight stay and enjoy a cosy autumn atmosphere by the campfire.

10. Trick or Treat event by the American Women’s Club of Luxembourg

This popular trick or treat event is back for another edition! Children go from car trunk to car trunk trick or treating at the spooky and historic venue that is Differdange castle.
