Seeking live musicUFC champion Conor McGregor makes surprise visit to Luxembourgish bars

RTL Today
As pictures flooded social media on Thursday, curiosity about Conor McGregor's activities in Luxembourg piqued, prompting questions and speculation about the purpose behind his visit to the Grand Duchy.

RTL Today reached out to Rocas, as well as the two individuals who were portrayed in the pictures with him.

Rocas confirmed that it was indeed Conor McGregor who visited their bar on Wednesday night, as he was looking for a place with live music to hang out. “One of the persons with him was a local accountant that knows our bar, saying McGregor is his client.”

Conor (not McGregor) couldn’t believe his eyes first: “At first I didn’t believe it was him, but then his bodyguards stopped me going up to him until he let them, let me”. According to him, it’s McGregor’s first time in Luxembourg.

“We had to double check ourselves if it was really him,” says Roberta. She was at Rocas for the concert when McGregor came into the bar near the end. “He’s a really down to earth kind of person,” she says.

McGregor also paid a visit to Bazaar Bar and Restaurant in the City’s Upper Town

In response to the famed fighter’s arrival at nearby restaurant Bazaar, the establishment’s owner and manager Gabriel Boisante told RTL Today that there wasn’t much to tell, only that, regardless of McGregor’s “superstar aura” they were happy to welcome him and felt “humbled and blessed to have him at Bazaar with his friends” and he seemed to be “a very nice, very polite guy.” Elaborating, Boisante remarked that he didn’t have “anything else but positive things to say about that guy. [He] was very polite to everyone, funny, and you feel when you’re next to him, that he is made out of stone.”
