
On Thursday afternoon, Samsa Film announced it is developing two new Luxembourgish series for 2026 with the support of RTL, currently in their preparation phase.
The announcement confirms the previously reported second series of Marginal, directed by Loïc Tanson, alongside a now-confirmed third instalment of Capitani. They will be joined by a brand-new series, the espionage-themed Lazarus, directed by Max Jacoby, which is slated for six 30-minute episodes.
The second series of Marginal is scheduled to follow its debut series in early 2025. Set between 1912 and 1917, the crime drama will see the return of cast members Jules Werner, Timo Wagner, Margarida Domingos, and Marie Jung, and will also introduce a number of new characters.
To support this, a casting call is now underway. The production is specifically seeking:
Young, German-speaking men aged 18 to 30 to portray German soldiers from the First World War. Acting experience is considered an advantage but is not essential.

Filming for both projects is scheduled to begin in Luxembourg between early 2026 and late spring, with some scenes for Marginal to be shot in the Greater Region.
