Fans, including our very own RTL fans, got a sneak peek of Tom Holland in action as Spider-Man: Brand New Day filming continues in Glasgow.
Spider-Man will be swinging through Glasgow for longer than originally planned – the shoot was initially scheduled to wrap by 15 August and has now been extended to 26 August.
Fans spotted Tom Holland on set amid explosions and high-action scenes on streets transformed to look like New York. Our photographer, Steve Müller, captured several hours of the action during the latest “Spidey” shoot.
The upcoming film, Brand New Day, is set for a summer 2026 release and marks Holland’s fourth outing as Peter Parker. His real-life fiancée, Zendaya, returns as MJ. The movie is part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which kicked off in July with Fantastic Four. New cast members include Jon Bernthal as the Punisher and Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) in an undisclosed role.
The title Brand New Day comes from a controversial Marvel comic series.
Glasgow has become a popular hub for superhero blockbusters, doubling for other cities in films such as The Flash, The Batman, and Batgirl (though the latter was never released due to studio issues). Holland was also recently in Scotland filming Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie, The Odyssey.
