A team of seven students created 'Bëssen Wëssen', an engaging award-winning card game on Luxembourg.
Melissa Dalton of The Home Stretch recently had an insightful conversation with three key representatives from the creative force behind 'Bëssen Wëssen' ('Know a Bit'), an educational, inclusive, and interactive Luxembourgish card game.
Chatting with the game's managers – Julia Elgarrach, Kim Lanners, and Vicky Noben – the three teenagers describe the steps they took to establish 'Bëssen Wëssen' as a vibrant and successful company. The inventors of the card game are a team of 7 students from the Lycée Aline Mayrisch whose aim was to create a game that offers a delightful way to explore the Grand Duchy while unravelling the richness of its language and culture.
Their initiative first stemmed from participation in a creativity camp designed to address societal challenges in Luxembourg. Beyond being a smart and spirited card game, 'Bëssen Wëssen' was purposefully crafted to serve as a catalyst for cultural and linguistic integration in the country.
