Crowther has stunned people before with his interviewing from around the world. RTL Today interviewed him back in 2018 and, since then, he’s become one of the best-known Luxembourgers around the world.
His latest report from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv has, at the time of writing, attracted over 150,000 likes on Twitter, as well as a flood of comments.
The languages spoken are, in order: English, Luxembourgish, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German.
Popular language learning app Duolingo posted that it was ‘too stunned to speak’ in response to the feat.
A host of prominent journalists also chimed in, with the UK’s Channel 4 International News Editor, Lindsey Hilsum, tweeting ‘Well - we’re impressed! And envious!’.
If nothing else, the video helped to raise the profile of the Luxembourgish language. One social media user posted ‘And I knew Luxembourgish existed, but never really thought about it, even while spending a holiday there... I guess I just thought of it as sort of German?’.
