1. TRIFO APERO - Claire Parsons / Jérôme Klein

Claire Parsons and Jerome KLEIN, two of Luxembourg's brightest and best talents, perform this evening in the wonderful Trifolion venue in Echternach.

Claire Parsons recently released LP, In Geometry is beautiful record from start to finish.

2. Pick up some bric-a-brac

The flea market in the centre of the capital offers bargain hunters and visitors both new and old the chance to snap up some original and unusual furniture put up for sale by professionals. COVID measures apply.

3. Free architectural pop-up exhibition

What: Pop-Up expo for construction award hopefuls
Where: Hôtel des Postes (25 rue Aldringen à Luxembourg)
When:
 Opening times are specific - 12 noon to 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; 12 to 9pm on Wednesdays and Fridays; 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Bauhärepreis: every four years a prize is given to projects showcasing the relationship between the origins of a construction project and the designer and builder.

4. Open Air Cinema

What: Ënnert dem Waassertuerm's festival continues
Where: Car park CCRD opderschmelz / CNA 
When: Sat 22 August at 7.30pm

Every Wednesday a group of friends organizes dinner parties to which everyone has to bring the biggest idiot they can find. A classic slice of French cinema and great fun.

5. Hiking and Food

What: Take in the sites AND flavours of Luxembourg
Where: Op der Gare, L-9776 WILWERWILTZ
When: Sunday 23 August

The departures are between 9am and 9.30am depending on the place of departure. The restaurant will welcome you at the end of the hike, between 12noon and 1pm depending on the group and route.

There are three departure points: Wilwerwiltz, Heinerscheid and Clervaux. The routes of the hikes are prepared by guides and are approximately 10km long.

The price includes the guide, a welcome snack and the 3 course menu in the restaurant, drinks not included. You will have to pay at the restaurant.

6. Get some great Schnapps ideas

What: Tour and spirit tasting

The distiller’s profession has a long and proud tradition in Luxembourg. At the beginning of the last century, there were still some 2,000 distilleries in operation.

Today the profession is threatened with extinction. But where did this long-standing fascination with schnapps come from? Find out more on this tour.

Special exhibits include the distillery plant from 1907 and the Heinrich-Lanz steam engine. A spirit tasting can be enjoyed at the end of the tour upon request.

7. Upcycle with Luisa and Carmen

What: Get your design skills on
Where: Parc du Château, 13 rue du Château, L-3217 BETTEMBOURG, Luxembourg
When: Sunday 23 August between 3pm-5pm

Learn to freshen up your old wardrobe with Ana-Luisa Teixeira and Carmen Di Pinto. You are invited to bring a cloth bag that you already have at home and that you want to embellish. Together you will then discuss and choose the piece to work on. Please book in advance
