Even though Francis of Delirium is a rock band, at the heart of the project is a love of all music. Lead singer and songwriter Jana Bahrich grew up playing everything from the violin and the French horn to the banjo and the guitar. Listening to Brahms, Mahler and Debussy she developed a real love for art music. It was really only a matter of time until those instruments were brought to the stage.
For the very first time Francis of Delirium will perform her songs with a small chamber orchestra made up of a string trio, a bassoon, a flute, a French horn and a clarinet. Pol Belardi will arrange a few of the band’s songs which will be performed live on a night that you won’t want to miss.

During the summer months, the Philharmonie invites you to a ‘behind the scenes’ visit. The tour will lead you through the building and showcase its design, before walking through the Grand Auditorium, Salle de Musique de Chambre, Espace Découverte and Foyer. Visitors will peak into the backstage area and technical department, all places normally closed to the public, but always bustling with action during a concert. The languages of the tours are announced in advance on the website, but may be adapted to the needs of the visitors at the beginning of the tour.

The City of Luxembourg is bringing back its walk & drive-in cinema at Champ des Glacis . With a giant mobile screen, the Glacis car park will be transformed into a vast, open-air cinema. The drive-in is a wonderfully retro way of getting the big screen experience. This type of theatre first appeared in the United States back in the 1930s, and reached peak popularity in the 1950s and 1960s. Ranging from recent blockbusters to classic films, the programme is varied - check out all movies here.

Ahead of her open air performance at Mondorf-les-bains’ Parc thermal, the Belgian singer-songwriter Selah Suehad a chat with RTL Today’s Isabella Eastwood. Expect some groovy RnB, soul-pop and smooth vocals alongside her funky band. Plus, the surroundings of the thermal park should make for an exceptional concert experience. Support is provided by Luxembourg’s own Herr Bender ft. Edsun, a fairly recent project bringing together well-known local musicians with backgrounds in jazz and soul.

Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and the steps taken to combat it, conspiracy theories have circulated on an unprecedented scale, becoming a dominant topic in public discourse. Conspiracy theories are not a recent phenomenon, however - they have existed for centuries. Think of apparent “witches” in the Middle Ages, the Illuminati as the masterminds behind political and social upheaval, the National Socialists propagating a worldwide Jewish conspiracy, or “chemtrails” in the air...and, of course, vaccines. This exhibition at the City Museum helps you distinguish fact from fiction.

So, who is looking for a real party this weekend? Hop down to Dudelange to experience the famous Zeltik festival, bringing together Celtic folk-rock, pipe bands, Irish traditional music, tap dance and rock’n’roll. It’s always a bunch of fun! The line-up includes Hothouse Flowers, Beoga, Celtica and Schëppe Siwen.
