Today Radio is giving you the chance to catch English post-Britpop band Starsailor live in concert on Sunday, 13 October 2025, at Opderschmelz. Known for hits like Silence Is Easy, Four to the Floor, and Alcoholic, Starsailor have been making music since 2000 and have built a solid reputation with six studio albums and ten Top 40 UK singles. They’ve even toured with The Rolling Stones.
Starsailor emerged from the early 2000s UK music scene with a sound that blends heartfelt lyrics, soaring melodies, and a post-Britpop edge. Over the years, they’ve maintained a loyal fan base thanks to their emotionally charged performances and consistently strong songwriting. Tracks like Alcoholic and Good Souls showcase their ability to mix introspection with anthemic energy, making them a standout act that continues to resonate with audiences.
Frontman James Walsh was at Opderschmelz back in February playing a solo show (review below) and had such a good time that he went home and decided to bring all of his friends with him this time around. James Stelfox (bass), Ben Byrne (drums), and Barry Westhead (keyboards) complete the full original line up of the band and this 25th Anniversary special should be a real treat for fans of the group.

Opderschmelz in Dudelange has been a key venue for jazz since 2007, but its programming also covers pop, rock, blues, theatre, dance, and literature making it a vibrant hub for the arts and Starsailor will play in its Grand Auditorium.
Joining Starsailor on stage will be RTL’s very own singer-songwriter Josh Island, who will open the night with his warm and accoustic style.
