Join Today Radio’s Ethan Carey this coming Monday, May 19 at 9PM at Rocas for the next edition of the Today Radio Artist Showcase a free night of live acoustic music spotlighting some of Luxembourg’s most exciting talent.
Held every other Monday, the Today Radio Artist Showcase offers a relaxed and intimate setting for music discovery. Each session features a number of local acts performing acoustic sets and taking part in short interviews with host Ethan Carey, giving the audience a chance to learn more about the artists behind the music.
This week’s showcase brings together three very different but equally compelling acts:
Kid Colling
Colombian-born and Luxembourg-raised, Kid Colling is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter known for blending blues, rock, soul, and funk. His band, Kid Colling Cartel, has released several well-received albums including Tomorrow’s Far Away, In the Devil’s Court, and 2024’s Living on the Wild Side, which leans into a rawer, more emotive sound. With a background in jazz and a passion for blues tradition, Colling delivers dynamic, guitar-driven performances that feel both grounded and fresh.
Thalamus Project
Thalamus Project is a Luxembourg-based trio weaving together jazz, rock, world music, and electronics. The group, made up of Oliver Glassl, Cyril Yabroudi, and Massimo Savo, crafts layered, cinematic compositions that move between rhythmic intensity and atmospheric calm. Their live performances are known for taking audiences on a journey that’s musical, emotional, and thought-provoking.
AEM
AEM is the solo project of Luxembourg-based singer-songwriter Ema Macara. Blending electronic textures with airy, emotive vocals, AEM’s music explores themes of vulnerability and self-reflection. Her debut EP Chaga, released earlier this year, showcases a confident and evolving sound that has already seen her share stages with artists like Novo Amor and Cavetown.
The Artist Showcase is hosted by Ethan Carey, presenter of Drive Time with Ethan Carey on Today Radio, airing Monday to Thursday from 4PM to 7PM.
Location: Rocas, 33 Rue des Capucins, Luxembourg City
