Are you ready to see another kid fend off, electricute and blast a flame torch at a pair of intruders, or leap out his bedroom window on a self-made zipline and zig zag through the snowy garden on Christmas Day? Well, you may be in luck.
Disney studio’s chief exececutive Bob Iger confirmed that there will be remakes of Night At the Museum, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Cheaper By the Dozen.
Would Home Alone in 2020 work, though? As one Twitter user put it: why wouldn’t Kevin just call his parents?
The remakes will only be available on the company’s new streaming service Disney+, expected to launch later this year.
Disney hopes the remake will have the “same standards and the same creative discipline” as the original movies. RTL Today Editor Martin Jonsson shared his thoughts on that: “Terrible, terrible news”.
Furthermore, we wouldn’t be surpised if Trump wanted to be in the remake again, too.
