The original mask worn in the 1980’s film The Empire Strikes Back has found a new owner. According to the auction house the mask was worn in the scene when Darth Vader told Luke he was his father.
The mask, made from plastic and foam rubber, was first valued at roughly $250,000 to $500,000. But enthusiastic film fans doubled the price.
