Luxembourg swimmer Rémi Fabiani secured his place in the 100m freestyle semi-finals at the European Championships in Paris on Tuesday morning, setting a new national record with a time of 48.44 seconds. The 24-year-old finished first in his heat, guaranteeing his progression to the evening’s next round.
Competing alongside Fabiani in the same heat was fellow Luxembourger Ralph Daleiden Ciuferri. Daleiden Ciuferri posted a time of 48.72 seconds, but this was not enough to advance to the semi-finals.
The 100m freestyle semi-final featuring Rémi Fabiani is scheduled for this evening at 7.32pm.
