Lou Jominet finished eighth in her heat of the 200m freestyle, clocking 2 minutes and 7 seconds, which was not enough to reach the semi-finals. Florian Frippiat, competing in the 100m butterfly, placed fifth in his heat with a time of 53.49 seconds, narrowly missing the top 16 by just under a second and a half. Meanwhile, in the 200m breaststroke, both Finn Kemp and Joao Carneiro represented Luxembourg but neither managed to qualify for the next round.
Later in the morning, Emma Barthel also took to the pool for the 400m individual medley. Despite her efforts, she too was unable to advance to the next round.
