Trailing 0-2, the side coached by Luxembourgish manager Luc Holtz struck twice late on to finish 2-2 against league leaders Saint-Étienne. In the 2. Bundesliga, Magdeburg drew 1-1 away at Greuther Fürth. Luxembourg's Eldin Dzogovic was named on the bench for Magdeburg but did not come on.
