German club, Borussia Dortmund, has announced the signing of a long-term professional contract with Luxembourger Enzo dos Santos.
According to the club's official website, the agreement was made on Wednesday, 19 August. Dos Santos, who arrived in Dortmund in January 2025 from Swift Hesperange, has shot up the ranks of the youth academy, progressing through the U17, U19, and reserve teams.
The player quickly made his mark, earning his Luxembourg senior debut for the national team at just 16 and becoming the youngest Dortmund player to represent his country.
For the club, the signing represents a continuation of the work being carried out within the academy. Sporting director Lars Ricken expressed his satisfaction at retaining a player who, in his view, has made significant progress in recent months and demonstrated clear potential.
Ole Book, who is also involved in the development of the club’s young players, praised Enzo dos Santos’ qualities, describing him as a dynamic player who is technically advanced for his age. His abilities have already caught the attention of the first-team coaching staff during training sessions.
With the new contract, Dortmund is reaffirming its commitment to developing and retaining the next generation of talent from within the club.
Enzo dos Santos, meanwhile, is emerging as one of the players to watch in the years ahead.
