Luxembourg began the new UEFA Nations League season with an away win against Bulgaria at the Hristo Botev Stadium on Saturday evening. While the hosts opened the score early on, the Red Lions kept their composure and managed to turn the game around.
After Chandarov's opener in the 18th minute, it was Luxembourg's midfield maestro Leandro Barreiro who put the Red Lions back in the game with an equaliser in minute 37. Vincent Thill then hit another in the net in minute 67, putting Luxembourg on course for their precious first Nations League points.
