Gerson Rodrigues on Saturday evening played his first game for Portuguese top-tier team AVS and immediately managed to make his mark. Brought on in minute 72, Rodrigues scored minutes before the final whistle.
However, his effort did not suffice to steer his team to victory. AVS eventually lost 2-1 to Clube Desportivo Santa Clara, thereby deepening their relegation woes.
