Competing at the British International Championships in Sheffield, the 20-year-old clocked 58.76 in the 25-metre pool on Saturday. The performance wipes 71 hundredths off the previous national record held by João Carneiro.

Kemp’s result marks a significant step forward for Luxembourg’s sprint breaststroke field and underlines his continued rise at international level. Further events in Sheffield are scheduled across the weekend, with Luxembourg’s federation expected to confirm selection implications once the meet concludes.
