During a trial run on Wednesday morning, a tragic accident occurred on the Nürnburgring, on the so-called “Industriepool” in Germany. It caused the death of two people.
This was communicated by the racing circuit’s press speaker and later confirmed by the police.
One of the victims is 39-year-old Luxembourger, Christian Franck. He’s been participating in karting, circuit, slalom and mountain car races for many years. Over the years he was able to snag many national and international championship titles.
On the "Industriepool" car manufactures can test their vehicles and other products. At the time, Christian Franck was undertaking a test drive for Goodyear. He leaves behind a wife and a child.
The second victim is a German tyre engineer.
The RTL editorial staff expresses its sincere condolences to the affected families.
