Swift Hesperange continued their qualification campaign for the Europa Conference League on Tuesday night, beating Welsh champions New Saints 4-3 on aggregate.

Swift Hesperange will now face FC Struga from North Macedonia next Thursday, while fellow Luxembourg club F91 Dudelange play Gzira United from Malta on Wednesday night.

Tuesday's game was a must-win for Swift after a 1-1 draw away in Wales and the Hesperange club duly delivered, getting off to a good start with an early goal by Stolz just two minutes into the game.

However, the Welsh side fought back, securing a penalty after 20 minutes, converted by McManus to bring both sides level.

After half-time, Hesperange seemed revitalised, scoring twice in quick succession. Alioui put the Luxembourg champions 2-1 up in the 62nd minute, and Simao made it 3-1 just four minutes later. Although the New Saints retaliated with a second McManus penalty in the 71st minute, it was not enough to deter the Luxembourgers.
