The Luxembourg Football League (LFL) officially confirmed what RTL sources had already indicated, namely the resignation of LFL president Pascal Wagner.
Wagner, who is also Vice President of Union Titus Pétange, has made allegations against Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) President Paul Philipp, accusing him of exercising pressure on Wagner to resign.
In a recent statement, the football league had made it clear that they were against the federation's decision to hold two interim seasons following the pandemic, also noting that they had been left out of the respective discussions.
After Wagner's resignation, the LFL is now holding a crisis meeting on Monday to discuss future plans.
