It is the first time that Luxembourg's national football team is playing against an African team. It will also be Mario Mutsch's last game.
Sunday evening will mark a first in the history of Luxembourg's national football team. At 7pm, the Grand Duchy's red lions will face Madagascar in a friendly game at Josy Barthel stadium.
According to Luxembourgish football pro Dirk Carlson, Madagascar's team is not to be underestimated. After all, they count football heavyweights such as Jérémy Morel (Olympique Lyon) and Thomas Fontaine (Reims) among their ranks.
The friendly game against Madagascar will prepare Luxembourg's football team for their European championship qualification games on 7 June in Lithuania and on 10 June in the Ukraine.
It will also be Luxembourgish football star Mario Mutsch's last game. He played a total of 101 games for the national team.
