The Diamond League athletics final took place on Thursday evening in Zurich, Switzerland, with Luxembourg represented by sprinter Patrizia van der Weken.

Competing in the women's 100 meters, she crossed the line in ninth place with a time of 11.26 seconds. Van der Weken is currently struggling with some health issues, which affected her performance.

The race was won by Olympic champion Julien Alfred of St. Lucia in 10.76 seconds. Jamaica's Tia Clayton finished second in 10.84 seconds, while Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith of Côte d’Ivoire placed third in 10.92 seconds.

Ruben Querinjean, who delivered a breakthrough performance in Brussels last Friday, had also qualified for the 3,000-meter steeplechase final. However, the Luxembourgish athlete decided not to start.
