Numerous existing problems, like poverty and malnutrition have worsened in 2021. In fact, UNICEF estimates that more than 7,2 million children will need urgent treatment against severe and acute malnutrition over the coming months.
In order to guarantee their survival and well-being, UNICEF urgently needs your support.
We are therefore launching an appeal to ask you to make a double New Year's resolution: one that will have a positive impact on your life and a second one that will help a child suffering from malnutrition.
Keeping resolutions is not always easy, however we guarantee that your promise to help a child will be kept by UNICEF.
Little Haoussa is six months old. Together with her mother Amina and her brothers and sisters she lives in a refugee camp in Chad after having fled the Central African Republic due to armed conflicts.
Amina did not have enough milk for her three small children, who subsequently suffered from malnutrition. After receiving special treatment against malnutrition for several weeks, Haoussa is now doing much better and her mother is very happy that she has regained strength.
Haoussa has received care in a UNICEF nutrition centre, where children are examined and receive appropriate treatment, taking into account their age and the severity of their nutritional status.
Haoussa was treated with an energy paste made of peanuts, oil, sugar, milk powder, vitamins and minerals. The peanut paste provided by UNICEF to treat millions of children around the world is an invaluable and efficient method in the fight against malnutrition.
With your donation, we can treat children against malnutrition. Support us now
Thank you very much for taking your resolution in favour of children like Haoussa.
With 54 €, we can treat one child for 5 weeks.
We wish you a very happy and healthy 2022!
