On 10 April, Scottish rock powerhouse Franz Ferdinand will light up the main Rockhal stage (promoted by Den Atelier) in Esch-sur-Alzette with what promises to be an electrifying performance. Even better? RTL Today Radio is giving you the chance to be there.
Formed in Glasgow in the early 2000s, the band first gained attention with their debut single Darts of Pleasure, which narrowly missed the UK Top 40.
However, it was their follow-up track Take Me Out that took the world by storm and even soared to number three on the UK Singles Chart. The track quickly became a defining track of the indie rock revival, blending post-punk influences with a swagger that felt both retro and fresh.
Now, Franz Ferdinand have released six studio albums. Their latest album The Human Fear, which came out early last year, marks a new chapter for the band, featuring an updated lineup and exploring themes around fear and what it means to be human while still keeping their signature indie rock sound.
The band is no stranger to the Grand Duchy – this will be their fifth time performing in Luxembourg, having previously packed out both den Atelier and Rockhal’s main hall, and each show has left fans buzzing. This latest appearance sees support also from the wonderful Irnini Mons who featured on a recent New Noise episode.
