Created by Florida-born multidisciplinary artist Hayden Anhedönia, Ethel Cain has become one of alternative music’s most compelling and acclaimed voices. After teaching herself production and recording music from a church basement in Indiana, Cain broke through with the haunting and cinematic 2021 EP Inbred before releasing her critically acclaimed debut album Preacher’s Daughter in 2022, a sprawling multimedia project many critics hailed as one of the albums of the year.
In 2025, Cain returned with two ambitious new releases: Perverts, a dark and immersive 90-minute exploration of ambient and drone influences, and her sophomore album Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You, both receiving widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike.
Beyond the music, Ethel Cain has built a unique artistic world, performing sold out headline shows and major festival sets across the globe, collaborating with artists including Florence + the Machine and Mitski, while also appearing in campaigns and fashion weeks for Dior, Givenchy, Miu Miu and Calvin Klein.
