A new Dune
Denis Villeneuve has confirmed development on Dune: Prophecy of Arrakis, a new chapter in the Dune cinematic universe. The director hints the project will explore untold lore from the Bene Gesserit and the early history of the deserts of Arrakis.

With the return of core cast members and fresh faces joining the expanded saga, fans should expect epic scale, stunning visuals, and another deep dive into Frank Herbert’s rich mythos when it arrives in cinemas.
Alien returns
20th Century Studios has confirmed a new entry in the Alien franchise, aiming for a Spring 2027 release. The anthology title promises standalone stories connected through the series’ iconic Xenomorph mythos but with different characters and locations.

Ridley Scott will serve as executive producer, and early casting rumors include Jodie Comer in a leading role. The move signals a bold expansion of the universe beyond the traditional Ripley-centered arc.
