The American folk and indie star Kurt Vile is returning to the Grand Duchy and will take the den Atelier stage on 29 August 2026, along with his band The Violators.
Doors open at 7pm, with Vile welcoming the audience shortly after.
Growing up as one of ten children in Philadelphia, the singer and guitarist taught himself guitar using a banjo gifted by his father. After years of crafting and releasing lo-fi home recordings, he signed with Matador Records in 2009, where he would go on to establish himself as a standout artist on the label’s celebrated roster.
Kurt Vile first gained recognition as a member of The War on Drugs before pursuing a solo career that would come to define his signature sound, which is a blend of folk, rock, and indie. His debut album, Constant Hitmaker, was warmly received and marked the beginning of many releases, with eight more studio albums released through 2022.
He is well known for his evocative lyricism, blending themes such as the intimacy of slow moments and the landscapes of modern life, which gives his songs a cinematic yet casual feel.
Live, Vile often transforms his recordings into immersive performances, joined by his band The Violators, which will amplify the intimacy of his studio sound into a rich and dynamic performance.
Whether you’re a fan, or just like indie pop, this promises to be an amazing performance, so grab your tickets before it’s too late!
Presale for the show will start this Thursday, 9 April at 10 am, for which you can sign up here. The general on-sale will start on 10 April at 10 am.
