Their debut album, Walking on a Dream, launched Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore to international stardom when it released in 2008. With tracks like We Are The People and Walking On A Dream – still instantly recognisable over a decade later – the duo have since become a permanent fixture in the international electro scene as Empire of the Sun.
But it’s not just catchy beats and wisftul, electro-pop stylings that have made them a global, arena-filling success. Their elaborate live shows, complete with theatrical performances and fantastical costumes, make them a highlight of most music festival and concert seasons.
Their latest tour is in support of their new album, Ask That God, which released on 26 July, 2024.
With an already packed concert schedule next summer, Luxembourg can officially look forward to another major set-piece on their cultural calendar for 2026. As Rockhal have just announced, Empire of the Sun will be playing at Rockhal on Sunday, 5 July – with registration for the exclusive pre-sale already live on their website.
Whilst the official ticket sale starts on Friday, 30 January at 10am, those who simply can’t wait can pre-register with their email addresses for a chance to grab tickets a day early on Thursday, 29 January 10am.
