Bahrich performed the band’s latest single It’s A Beautiful Life live on air, giving listeners an early taste of what’s to come from their upcoming album.

The track, written during a period spent in Berlin, brings together moments and observations from the past year, balancing darker themes with a sense of hope.

“It’s kind of little vignettes over the past year,” she explained. “It’s reconciling how despair can coexist with hope and joy at the same time.”

The single is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Run Run Pure Beauty, which is set for release on 29 May. The title itself carries a dual meaning, something Bahrich was keen to highlight.

“It can be read as a wish or as a warning,” she said. “Run free, be joyful… or run, hide yourself, protect yourself.”

Following the album release, Francis of Delirium will return home for a headline album release show at Rotondes on 4 June, giving local fans the chance to hear the new material live.

Alongside the new music, Bahrich also spoke about some of the band’s recent milestones, including having a track featured in a Netflix series. The opportunity came in an unexpected way.

“We were playing a show in Edinburgh and someone came up to me at the merch stand and said they worked with Netflix,” she said. “I thought it would never happen, but a few months later I got an email and it turned out he was the editor of the show.”

To mark Saint Patrick’s Day, Bahrich also delivered a special in-studio cover of Linger by The Cranberries, offering a stripped back take on the classic track.

With a new album on the way, a major hometown show lined up and fresh music already out in the world, it’s shaping up to be a big year for Francis of Delirium.
