Police and special intervention groups were dispatched to the scene of crime. Later in the evening, the public prosecutor’s office confirmed that a young man, born in 2004, had been fatally stabbed, following an argument that had broken out near the Wérenne gallery.
According to investigators, a love rivalry could have been the cause of the dispute. The young victim died on the spot.
The suspect, also born in 2004, was still on the run at the time of the press conference of the public prosecutor’s office at 11pm on Thursday. He has already been involved in other cases and is being sought in the area.
