Around 5am on Sunday morning, a woman was found dead in Guess club in Metz, the Républicain Lorrain reports.
According to the Frech newspaper, the 42-year-old entered the club at 3am with her best friend. The friend later told police that she went to the bathroom around 4.30am to take drugs.
When the club closed at 5am, other guests noticed that a woman was seemingly asleep on a couch.
“Several people thought she was sleeping. Then two individuals, when putting their jackets next to her, noticed she was not moving,” the manager of the nightclub told another local newspaper.
Despite first aid efforts, she could not be resuscitated.
According to the Républicain Lorrain, a medical examiner concluded in all likelihood that it was “probably not a natural death.”
An investigation has been launched to find out whether or not drugs were the cause of her passing.
