The founder of the English Defence League and independent MEP candidate was met with some resistance when visiting Bury and Warrington as part of his campaign trail for the European Elections.
Social media footage showed Robinson (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) aggressively conversing with a young man outside McDonald’s in Warrington on Thursday, before the drink was launched at his head. An altercation followed before the two were separated. A man filming the incident is then heard shouting “that’s what you get for being a fascist”.
A similar incident had occurred the day before in Bury, Greater Manchester, where Robinson was again doused with milkshake while carrying out his campaign.
