On 1 May, a man in his fifties was shot dead in front of his home in Rombas. The victim succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds to his back and legs.
According to the Républicain Lorrain newspaper, the victim’s step-brother and neighbour appeared to be the main suspect and was arrested the same evening with a high alcohol blood level. He has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been placed in detention in Metz.
Investigators will now attempt to determine the reasons behind this tragedy.
