One young man was killed in Koblenz after lighting a firecracker. Despite resuscitation attempts, police said the man succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities did not provide any further information about the accident, but Koblenz criminal police have started an investigation.
In a similar incident, a 18-year-old in Bavaria was also killed by a firecracker explosion. According to police, the young man from Eschlkam threw the firecracker into a plastic pipe, which he then held over his head when it exploded.
