
Chaos on the rails for commuters using the Nancy-Metz-Luxembourg services on Tuesday morning, as trains were interrupted for an hour after a construction engine broke down on the tracks.
The breakdown was reported at 6.15am and lifted at around 7.15am. SNCF have announced that trains will gradually resume, and have shared an updated composition sheet with users.
The incident has affected regional trains as well as a number of TGV services. It has resulted in the cancellation of several trains and significant delays on the rails connecting France and Luxembourg.
