According to witnesses, the young woman was driving at high speed on Sunday night when she lost control of her vehicle, resulting in a collision with the safety barrier. The impact propelled her car onto the road, subsequently causing four vehicles behind her to collide as well.
Emergency services, including the police and firefighters, responded to the scene, as both the young driver’s car and another vehicle involved in the accident caught fire. The situation remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the cause of this tragic accident.
Witnesses were able to extract the critically injured young woman from her vehicle and provided immediate care at the roadside. She was swiftly transported by ambulance to the emergency room but unfortunately succumbed to her severe injuries shortly thereafter.
Among the 16 injured individuals, seven sustained severe injuries, including two young children. Four people were hospitalized with minor injuries, while four others received on-site medical treatment.
Investigations are currently being conducted to establish the precise circumstances of the accident. Following the incident, the highway was closed to traffic for several hours.
