The horrifying incident took place in the city of Moron in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. An estimated 500,000 litres of animal blood coated the street after a storage tank of a slaughterhouse burst. Some media reported the tank collapsed inside the slaughterhouse while others said it was transported at the time of the incident.
A local woman likened the street to a “sea of blood.” Firefighters reportedly cleaned up the street but locals kept complaining about the stench. The slaughterhouse has not commented on the incident.
