At least two people have been killed and several others injured in a shooting at Seattle Center, near the city's landmark Space Needle.
Police said shots were fired at Seattle Center on Sunday. According to reports by NBC News and CNN, at least two people were killed and four or five others were injured.
A hospital spokesperson said a child was among those injured. The child and a woman were undergoing surgery, while a 23-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman had also been admitted for treatment, the spokesperson explained.
Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson said one person had been arrested following the shooting. Earlier reports had indicated that two suspects had been taken into custody.
Wilson thanked police officers for their response to the incident.
