The video shows police drawing a gun on the parents before violently arresting them in front of their young children, telling them repeatedly to “get out of the fucking car” with weapons drawn. An unidentified woman bystander came to take care of the two children as the police arrested the mother.
The couple’s lawyer claims that one officer told the mother that he “could have shot [her] in front of [her] fucking kids.” Police claim that the doll was not the only stolen item, and that the man had stolen a pair of underwear, while the woman had ‘an item in her possession’, but that she had dropped it before police arrived. The store is not filing shoplifting charges.
