Pop-up shelterPassenger wears plastic tent on plane to avoid coronavirus

A US businessman used a special kind of pop-up tent to avoid being infected by coronavirus on a plane.

Rick Pescovitz invented single-person pop-up shelters a couple of years ago because he was tired of getting soaked at football games. He even pitched the invention on the American show Shark Tank.

According to Pescovitz’s brother, the businessman now put the one-person tents to a new use: he tested one of them on a plane to avoid being infected by coronavirus.

On his blog, his brother wrote: “As travellers are taking unusual steps to protect themselves from the coronavirus, from wearing water jugs on their heads to covering themselves in plastic tarps, my brother thought to see how his StadiumPod ... would work on an airplane.”

He added that “the man who sat next to him didn’t even bat an eye.”
