Not a happy ending for the Wiesn. On the final day of Munich's Oktoberfest, yet another accident involving a ride took place on Sunday morning, this time on the "Schiffsschaukel", the swing boat ride.
An employee reportedly suffered a severe head injury and had to be resuscitated at the scene. The 47-year-old man is now in hospital.
A fatal accident had already taken place at Oktoberfest two weeks earlier, when an employee was struck and fatally injured by the free-fall tower ride.
